where is the impact?

Human Devastation

Destructive American wildfires in 2020 accounted for 46 deaths and around 17,000 structures destroyed. The effect of wildfires on Americans is more prevalent than ever, with 1 in 6 Americans living under significant wildfire risk.

Animal & Plant Life

As wildfires ravage ecosystems, vulnerable plants are destroyed, and animals are forced to flee. The result is extensive ecological instability; biodiversity, sensitive native plant life, and food/shelter for local animal life are all devastated.

Climate

Our forests play a critical role in sustaining a healthy ecosystem: they function as the lungs of our ecosystems, absorbing carbon and producing oxygen, ultimately improving air quality and sustaining life.
